What I learned from programming my VCR last night . . .

Four things.
  1. Always check to see when the band you wanted to tape is actually performing.
  2. Make sure the clock on the VCR, which is supposed to set itself, is actually set correctly.
  3. Never trust a VCR to do anything right.
  4. In fact, just throw out your VCR.

Dude! You guys don't have DVR yet? Get with the program.

Maybe you were too busy preparing for Y2K or something.

Ouch.

Well, I would have recorded on the Media Center PC, but for some reason our cable won't allow us to do that AND access the internet. And internet was important that evening.

So there.

I stand corrected, my friend.

Truce?

Well, since it's not polite to actually write the word "piss" next to the word "off", I guess a truce is in order.

It's a VCR. It's not a mind reader. Cut the guy some slack.
